The Company

Mandala Energy Limited (“Mandala”) is a Southeast Asia focused oil and gas exploration and production company, founded in March 2015 and headquartered in Singapore.

The company is led by a management team of three highly experienced co-founders with over 75 years’ combined experience and an established successful track record in the region.

Mandala is backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (“KKR”), a global investment firm with approximately US$130 billion of assets under management across a wide range of asset classes.

Mandala Energy is founded on principles of a robust integrated subsurface, development and field management practice, focusing on well understood South East Asian proven plays, sharing synergies for growth, cost and operating efficiency improvements.

Mandala’s head office in Singapore comprises corporate management and a M&A team.

When Mandala farmed into the Lemang PSC in February 2016, it entered into a highly collaborative arrangement with Hexindo (a subsidiary of Ramba Energy and the Operator of the Lemang PSC) whereby Mandala brought in most of the technical and operational staff.

In May 2017, Hexindo and Mandala agreed, with SKK Migas approval, to transfer operatorship of the Lemang PSC to Mandala, with a significant proportion of Hexindo staff transferring across to join the Mandala team.

When Mandala acquired the Sumbagsel & Merangin III PSCs from Cooper Energy effective May 2016, it hired a subset of the existing Cooper Energy team to operate these two assets.
